Currently closed for open classes. During 2018, I be abroad for longer periods of time. Which is why I've chosen to put my open classes on hold for a while. During this period, I’ll still teach privates and corporate classes. I expect to resume open classes again in the autumn of 2018.
Feel free to contact me if you want to know when new classes start up again or if you want information about creating your own corporate classes or maybe your own local class (min 10 people).
Info about classes
Duration of class
Classes are between 60 and 75 minutes.
Number of students
A class is 8 - max 10 people, so there is possibility and opportunity for attention to the individual student. The energy of a group creates an encouraging environment that helps you get a better focus and cultivate a greater desire to work with "playing the edge", ensuring that you’re constantly gaining progress in your training.
What type of yoga is taught?
I teach a unique blend of flow yoga and more restorative yoga - we move through the poses in a gentle flow and let the breath guide us, some poses are held for 5-10 breaths so the body and mind finds peace and is able to surrender to the shape.
All classes start with a gentle awakening of the spine, followed by Sun Salutations to loosen up muscles and joints. After warming up, we continue with standing poses challenging our concentration, focus, stability and strength before we come down to the mat for more restorative poses and twists before ending the class in the meditative pose Savasana.
The classes are designed for adults, but teenagers are welcome.
What do you need to bring?
I have mats, props and blankets, so bring yourself and your own mat if you prefer it.
What level of yoga is taught?
My classes are for everyone, from beginners to more experienced. Because I teach smaller classes, I'm able to tailor the class to the individual needs of people in the room on the day, I provide several variations and modifications for the poses so that everyone gets to feel challenged.
I recommend private one-to-one introduction training if you want to work with something special physically or mentally. There I will be able to guide you through the basics of yoga, that you’ll need in class, and we can work specifically with your needs. Please contact me if you are interested in one- on- one training.
Is yoga suitable for me health?
Everyone is different, but yoga is for everyone. It is clearly better to move than not to move.
If you have an injury or a diagnosis, please contact your doctor and get permission to practice yoga first.
If you are mentally out of balance and/or are undergoing a period of e.g. fatigue, depression or stress, yoga is the perfect choice for you, as you’ll be using the body to instigate change to your mental health.
If you have normal health, yoga is an obvious choice, the benefits are many - better health, smoother skin, more energy, increased flexibility that improves your posture, stronger muscles, better bone density, stronger immune system, lower blood pressure, increases serotonin, calms your mind, improves your balance, improves sleep, the list is endless !!
As already stated, yoga is for everyone, all you have to do is to show up and listen to your own body.
What do you get out of yoga?
No matter what the reason is for you to practice yoga, if it is to make you stronger, more flexible, or to find some quiet time for yourself, you have come to the right place. Yoga works the entire body physically as well as psychologically. You optimize your nervous system by turning your attention inwards, and if you allow it, it can help you become more present in the now and more mindful.
